PROJECT INFORMATION
Khankendi city Victory Park
Victory Park reflects the heroism of the Azerbaijani people and glorifies deep respect and honor for the participants of the Patriotic War. The park covers an area of 8.7 hectares.
Architecture and Design
The Triumphal Arch, a symbol of our victory, has been erected in the center of the park, which symbolizes the path of victory. The design of 44 symbolic stairs from the square to the Triumphal Arch, as well as the fact that the height of the building reaches 44 meters, reflects the 44-day war. These stairs will display information about the liberated settlements for each day of the Patriotic War. In addition, a viewing area has been designed for visitors on the terrace of the Triumphal Arch, and a museum has been designed on the 10th floor. In accordance with the project, wide green belts have been planned in the park
- Large Green Zones: The park's relief is being redeveloped with a rich landscape design consisting of greenery, trees, and flower bushes. In addition to preserving the existing trees, hundreds of new trees and decorative bushes are planned to be planted.
- Fountains and Resting Corners:The fountain at the entrance brings freshness to the park's atmosphere. Pedestrian paths, benches, and shade provide comfortable conditions for residents to relax.
- Functional Planning: Apartments are distinguished by their thoughtful, spacious and functional planning to meet different family needs.
Remembrance and Memorial Lane:
A special memorial lane has been created at the entrance to the park and on the road leading to the Triumphal Arch.
Memorial Stairs:
Memorial plaques depicting the main historical days of the Patriotic War or important stages leading to the Victory are placed along the high stairs. This creates a memorial walk that allows visitors to deeply feel the tension and significance of the Victory.
On December 24, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Victory Park built in the city of Khankendi was held with the participation of Ilham Aliyev and his wife, Mehriban Aliyeva.
The opening event was attended by state and government officials, public representatives and city residents. Within the framework of the ceremony, an overview of the infrastructure, improvement and greening works created in the park area was presented, and detailed information about the project was provided.
The commissioning of the Victory Park is of great importance in terms of perpetuating the historical Victory of our country, promoting the spirit of patriotism and enriching the socio-cultural life of the city.
